This organisation was established by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar back in 1925, also known as a prominent Hindu nationalistic group located in India, and the RSS headquarters, colloquially “Dr. Hedgewar Bhawan,” resides in Mahal, Nagpur, Maharashtra.
The headquarters of RSS is in Nagpur. Here, all central activities such as training programs, strategic planning, and administrative work are conducted. The complex includes offices, meeting halls, and the Hedgewar Smriti Temple, in memory of the founder.

In recent years, there have been talks about constructing a new RSS office in Delhi’s Jhandewalan area – ‘Keshav Kunj’- on 2.5 acres of land. Amidst this development, the question arises whether the organisational headquarters might be shifted from Nagpur to Delhi. As of now though, Nagpur will remain the main centre.
Around Nagpur headquarters, security measures are stringent. An example is Nagpur police have declared the entire area a ‘no drone’ zone to maintain safety over its premises.
This is still Nagpur’s great landmark that typifies the existence of the influence in India’s socio-political firmament.
