1.Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan is the greatest spinner that Afghanistan has ever seen. Since making his ODI debut in 2015, the young player has caused chaos in both international and franchise cricket. He has achieved 277 wickets in all formats. He is the third youngest player in history to achieve a 5-wicket haul in ODI cricket. In a T20I match versus Ireland in 2019, he was the first bowler to achieve a double-hattrick in a T20I. He was the youngest captain of a team in ODI (19y 165d) and in Test cricket (20y 350d).

2.Mohammad Nabi (All-Rounder)
Born on January 1, 1985, Mohammad Nabi is an Afghan cricketer, and former captain of Afghanistan’s cricket team. His aggressive batting and his skillful off spin bowling has given him quite a name. Through 2024, he helped Afghanistan beat 45 different teams in international cricket. In 2025 too, Nabi is a big player with his good hitting, astute bowling and sensible approach. He loves stepping up, he loves coming into big moments and you can tell fans love the guy too because he steps up in big moments with both bat and ball.
3.Karim Janat
Afghan cricketer Karim Janat was born on August 11, 1998. He made his first-class debut on 7 December 2016 versus the England Lions. Before that, he also represented Afghanistan in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He represented Afghanistan’s team in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in September 2021. He made his Test appearance against Bangladesh in June 2023. By 2025, Karim is set to be one of Afghanistan’s most dependable all-rounders.

5.Rahmanullah Gurbaz
Rahmanullah Gurbaz was born on November 28, 2001, is an Afghanistan cricketer. Batting left-handed, Gurbaz belongs to the Gurbaz tribe who belong to Afghanistan and started playing for Afghanistan only in 2019. In 2021, he became Afghanistan’s first to score a century in his ODI debut against Ireland. Gurbaz went on to play in the 2021 and 2024 T20 World Cups and 2023 Cricket World Cup. He remains famous for his unbelievable wicketkeeping and explosive batting.
6.Fareed Ahmad
An Afghan cricketer named Fayeed Ahmad was born on August 10, 1994. He made his One Day Internationals (ODI) debut on the match against the United Arab Emirates held on 2 December 2014. Furthermore, he competed in the 2014 Asian Games. Fareed played his first T20I match for Afghanistan against the UAE on December 14, 2016. He became part of Kabul’s team for the Afghanistan Premier League in 2018. Afghanistan chose him as a replacement in the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. He became part of the team that secured the T20 World Cup trophy in 2024, and subsequently emerged as a vital bowler in 2025.
7.Mujeeb Ur Rahman
Since making his international debut at the age of 16 in 2017, Mujeeb has already established himself as the 4th highest wicket-taker for Afghanistan in international cricket. In just 66 games, he has taken the wickets of 103 batsmen. In 2018, he achieved five wickets in an ODI match against Zimbabwe, making him the youngest bowler to capture a 5-wicket haul in ODI history. In his first match, he recorded statistics of 4/24 in 10 overs. And keep in mind, he is only 20 years old!!!
8.Samiullah Shinwari (Right-Handed Leg-Spin)
Samiullah Shinwari began his global career as a leg-spinner. However, as time went on, he was utilized more like a batter. He boasts 74 wickets in his 148 matches. With a quick approach and straightforward pitch release, he sometimes baffled the batters with his throws. His 5/13 in a T20I match against Kenya in Sharjah in 2013 ranks as the 3rd best performance by an Afghanistan bowler in T20Is.
9.Karim Sadiq
