Kushal Tandon was born on March 28, 1985, in Lucknow, a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He belongs to a political family. His early education was done in Lucknow before he shifted to Delhi for higher studies at Hansraj College. He was interested in acting and studied at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles to improve his acting skills.

Modeling Career

Kushal began his career in the modeling industry, where he gained popularity very soon. In 2005, he secured the position of first runner-up in the Grasim Mr. India competition. His good looks and confidence secured him spots with top brands like Airtel, Dairy Milk, Sony Ericsson, and Skoda. He also strutted his stuff for different fashion shows, including top events like Lakme Fashion Week.

Television Breakthrough

He entered the world of acting in the well-known Star Plus television show “Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai” in 2011, featuring as Virat Singh Vadhera. His character as a musical and stubborn young boy captured the hearts of the audience and turned him into a household name on Indian television.
