Shilpa Shetty Kundra was born on 8th June 1975 in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. Shilpa Shetty is a do-it-all Indian movie actress, model, producer, entrepreneur, and fitness icon, with diverse professions. Shilpa’s father is Surendra Shetty, a property owner, and her mother is Sunanda Shetty, a housewife. Her parents both had businesses that manufactured tamper-proof water caps. She did schooling from her school up to St. Anthony Girls’ High School, Chembur, Mumbai, and further studies from R.A. Podar College of Commerce & Economics. Shilpa was an athletic girl and was nee black-belted in karate as well as a captain of her school volleyball team. Shilpa was introduced to the profession of modeling at 16 years old by finding her niche on the screen of the television in 1991 through a Limca commercial.
Bollywood Career and Development
Shilpa entered the Hindi film industry in 1993 with the thriller film Baazigar, and it got her two nominations at the Filmfare Awards. From films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994) and Dhadkan (2000), she was a huge hit. Her performance in Phir Milenge (2004), a HIV patient girl, was also good and showcased her acting ability.
