Early Life and Family
Ram Charan Teja Konidela was born on 27 March 1985 in Chennai to the well-known Konidela–Allu clan. He is the son of Telugu icon Chiranjeevi and Surekha Konidela, with sisters Sushmita and Sreeja, and famous actors Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun as uncle and cousin respectively. He was raised in Hyderabad and Chennai, where he attended exclusive schools like Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan and The Hyderabad Public School, and later took a brief stint at St. Mary’s College, Hyderabad.

His credentials include Racha, Naayak, Yevadu, Dhruva, Rangasthalam (another Filmfare win), and RRR (2022), which became globally acclaimed. He acted in the lead role in Game Changer in January 2025, which was received with lukewarm critiques but rapturous fan support. Alongside acting, he co-founded Konidela Production Company, producing hits like Khaidi No. 150 and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
Personal Life and Relationships
Ram Charan married Upasana Kamineni, Vice-Chairperson of Apollo Life and heiress of Apollo Hospitals, on 14 June 2012. They reached their 10-year milestone in 2025 and welcomed daughter Klin Kaara in June 2023. Their family life is kept private, but occasional public festivities—like Clin’s ocean-themed birthday party—are indicative of a cozy relationship.

Apart from film, Ram Charan owns Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club, formerly co-owned regional airline TruJet, and has interests in cars and hospitality too.
