V Company was the winner of the first series of Dance Plus which was aired in 2015. This group boasts flawless performances apart from being an outstanding team that belonged to Team Dharmesh Yelande. In the 2016 second season, a young solo performer named Tanay Malhara from Team Dharmesh took the title. He caught the judges’ and the public’s attention with his heart-pulling story about modern dance.
Bir Radha Sherpa, a dancer who is well trained in B-boying and contemporary styles, was the winner for the third season conducted in 2017. He came from Team Punit Pathak. Among his fans were extremely few because of his adaptability. The dancer who had a popping style and was also from Team Punit, Chetan Salunkhe, won Season 4, which came to a close early in 2019.
Season 5, which started from late 2019 and ended a few months into 2020, saw Rupesh Bane come out as the winner. He was known for his extremely emotional choreography performances and rich classical influence and, of course, Team Dharmesh too. In 2021, Season 6 had a first-ever win by a three-person group: Harsh, Sneha, and Tejas from Team Shakti Mohan. Their storytelling and group dynamics earned them the recognition.
The last season, Dance Plus Season 7, was tagged Dance Plus Pro, which ran for 2023-24. The winner was Ritesh Pal, a solo performer from Team Shakti Mohan, known for his powerful contemporary dance and emotional flair.
Undoubtedly, Dance Plus has evolved to capture the drama of dance talent throughout India, from Season 1 to Season 7. Each season has given birth to different talents, the biggest collection of coordinated ensembles that is V Company, the single talents like Tanay Malhara and Ritesh Pal, and the creative trios like Harsh, Sneha, and Tejas. And, of course, punctuated by the constant presence of powerful mentors such as Dharmesh Yelande and Punit Pathak.
