Saurabh Dwivedi is a noted Indian journalist and the founding editor of The Lallantop, a widely followed Hindi digital news platform under the India Today Group. Known for his distinct, relatable way of presenting news in everyday Hindi, he has carved a niche in the digital journalism space. Saurabh hosts some of the platform’s most popular shows such as The Lallantop Show, Netanagri, and Duniyadaari, making him a recognizable face among Hindi news audiences.
Early Life and Education
Saurabh hails from Chamari village in Jalaun district, Uttar Pradesh. His father, Ravikant Tripathi, is a retired academic. He completed his school education in Kanpur and graduated from DVC College. Passionate about storytelling and current affairs, Saurabh pursued a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi. While still a student, he got an opportunity to work with India TV, marking the beginning of his journalism journey.
Professional Journey

Saurabh started his career at NavBharat Times, after which he moved on to Dainik Bhaskar as a news editor. He had stints at Star News and Aaj Tak. Joining the India Today Group in 2013, he was deeply involved in launching The Lallantop by 2016. The platform soon achieved a mass following attracted by its lively and gripping style of news presentation.
At Saurabh’s leadership, The Lallantop became one of the biggest digital news platforms in India, having a YouTube subscription of over 40 million. Besides daily shows, he also hosts “Guest in Newsroom,” an interview series that features candid conversations with personalities from various walks of life. Its raw, real, and relatable (RRR) approach has endeared it to viewers.
Impact and Recognition

Saurabh, known for his election reporting all over India and the interview series Jamghat that features exclusive political conversations, is a veteran in his field. His work has been lauded far and wide and received him the ENBA Award in the year 2019 for Best Anchor in the Digital Hindi.
Saurabh is also a much sought-after public speaker. He has given TEDx talks, addressed IIMs and IITs, and was invited to speak at the Harvard India Conference. Presence at the Jaipur Literature Festival in the years 2021, 2023, and 2024 shows his growing influence, and he is expected to be part of JLF 2025 as well.
Personal Life

Saurabh currently remains based out of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. He is married to Gunjan Dwivedi; they share fatherhood of two children—a daughter and a son. Despite having a busy schedule, he does not give up on keeping the digital masses entertained and informed with his storytelling and journalistic insight.
