There hasn’t been any official confirmation regarding the release date for Dharavi Bank Season 2 yet. Initial speculation considered late 2023 as a possible release window, but since that time went by without any confirmation from the makers or MX Player, the show is still in the planning or pre-production stages, with an official announcement still awaited by the audience.
The cast is expected to reprise Suniel Shetty as Thalaivan and Vivek Oberoi as JCP Jayant Gavaskar. Samiksha Batnagar is set to return as Irawati “Ira” Gavaskar, while other cast members, including Sonali Kulkarni as Chief Minister Janvi Surve, Freddy Daruwala, Luke Kenny, Nagesh Bhosle, Hitesh Bhojraj, and Rohit Pathak, are all expected to return. Their characters featured heavily in Season 1 and are expected to continue their story arcs in the next season.
The series ended with Season 1 on quite a note, as many characters died and some serious issues remained unresolved. Season 2 is expected to take the narrative further and delve deeper into character backstories while also introducing some fresh faces to the Dharavi crime scene. Jayant Gavaskar is expected to continue his vengeance path against his son’s killing, while his sworn enemy Daji Malsure is anticipated to return for his own revenge. The relationship between Mahesh and Deepa also looks set to develop.
Series creator Sarthak Dasgupta emphasized that the second season will be bigger, better, and well-thought-out, with a deeper study into the brutal reality of the criminal system at Dharavi. No trailer or teaser has yet been released, and all promotional campaigns have to date focused solely on Season 1.
Once officially announced and launched, Dharavi Bank Season 2 will be available to stream on MX Player only. Fans of the series can expect even more drama, excitement, and emotional upheaval in the next episode.
