Early life and education
Mukesh earned his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1997, having grown up in Haridwar. Before establishing his own company in India, he had been working at Deloitte in Chicago and had also worked with certain Silicon Valley companies, such as NexTag, Centrata, and NewScale.

Key Ventures
Myntra (2007–2014): He was initially a gift customization platform and co-founded Myntra with Vineet Saxena and Ashutosh Lawania. It turned out to be one of the top online fashion portals of India after focusing on the business. Flipkart had acquired Myntra for around $330 million in 2014. Mukesh headed the Commerce and Advertising division of Flipkart after the acquisition until 2016.

Cult.fit (2016–onwards): Originally started by Ankit Nagori, Cult. Fit (earlier Cure.fit) provides a complete range of services in wellness, fitness, nutrition, mental well-being, and primary care. With the investment from Tata Digital, its worth rose to more than 12,411 crore, and it expanded very rapidly all over the country. By the mid-2020s, Mukesh’s personal net worth had risen substantially due to this investment to an estimated ₹4,200 crore (~USD 500 million).
