Behardien made his First-Class and List-A debuts in 2004-05 season
He played for several domestic teams: Western Province, Titans, Northerns; also had stints in other leagues outside South Africa, such as Kings XI Punjab (IPL), Leicestershire, etc.
In domestic First-Class cricket, he made over 7,300 runs in about 125 matches, with an average over 40.
He scored 12 centuries and 46 half-centuries in First-Class cricket, highest score being 150* not out.
In List A (domestic one-day) matches, he accumulated over 5,600 runs, with multiple fifties and some centuries.

He played for South Africa in white-ball formats (ODIs & T20Is) between 2012-2018.
