MTV Splitsvilla, which is among India’s favourite reality shows based on youth, has been mesmerising the audience with its superb combination of love, drama, and competition ever since 2008. The show has gone through the years with many winners being crowned who not only exhibited their attractive personalities and romantic bonding but also played the strategy in the right way and were determined enough to stay in the villa. The first season (2008) set the tone of the show to a great extent as Vishal Karwal and Shraddha Haribhai claimed the title of first winners in the history of the show. The title was won by Priya Shinde and Dushyant Yadav in season 4 (2011–12), which was full of excitement and newly established waves in the audience. Season 5 (2012) saw the revelation of Paras Chhabra and Akanksha Popli, who not only became the public’s favourites but also later on made their presence felt in the entertainment world. In Season 6 (2013), victory went to Paramvir Singh and Mandy Debbarma, followed by the unforgettable couple of Mayank Gandhi and Scarlett Rose in Season 7 (2014), who got praises for their undeniable attraction.
The competition intensified in Season 8 (2015) when Prince Narula and Anuki Tchokhonelidze won the season, with Prince later becoming one of the most successful reality show contestants in India. Gurmeet Rehal and Kavya Khurana were the clear winners of Season 9 (2016), whereas Season 10 (2017) was the one where Baseer Ali and Naina Singh were the champions after going through a roller-coaster ride of a season.
In the case of Season 11 (2018–19), Gaurav Alugh and Shruti Sinha were the first winners, and then Shrey Mittal and Priyamvada Kant took it in Season 12 (2019–20). The show kept on changing, and Season 13 (2021) brought Jay Dudhane and Aditi Rajput to the winning end, who won the hearts of all by their compatibility.
