Rinku is the youngest of five siblings. Their father, Khanchandra Singh, delivered LPG cylinders for a living and, due to the family’s financial situation, they were largely confined to living in a tiny two-room house that was provided by his father’s employer.
Rinku showed great interest in cricket during his childhood, which he coupled with hard work and training to develop his talent.

He made his first-class debut in November that same year in the Ranji Trophy, and in 2017, he was bought by Punjab Kings (Kings XI Punjab at that time) in the IPL, but he did not make his debut in that season. From 2018 onwards, he played for KKR. His IPL career has mostly been filled with remarkable instances; he was the one who, in the 2023 IPL game, hit five sixes in the last over against the Gujarat Titans to finish a nail-biting match, thus making his name among the greatest finishes in IPL history.
In 2025, KKR kept him for a whopping ₹13 crore, which was a considerable increase from his previous IPL salary.
International Career
India’s Rinku made a T20I debut in August 2023 against Ireland.
He soon started his ODI career in December 2023 against the Proteas.
His T20I showing has been encouraging, and he has performed well with the bat, also boasting a good average in limited chances, besides scoring several half-centuries.

As of mid-2025, Rinku Singh is engaged to Priya Saroj, a politician from the Samajwadi Party and a member of Parliament. The couple got engaged in June 2025.
