Also, this year’s event, which is supported by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and title sponsor TATA, will see the WPL’s position as the preeminent women’s T20 franchise league grow even larger. At 3:30 PM for the daily games, which are a few days out.

Key Venues and Match Timings
For a better player experience and ease of logistics, the majority of the action is to take place in two main venues. At the start of the tournament, play will take place in Navi Mumbai, which will be the host from the 9th through the 17th of January. Then the league will move to Vadodara, which will host the balance of the regular season games from the 19th of January to the 1st of February, and also the knockout rounds.
The Knockout Stage
At the end of the regular season, the top three teams on the points table will advance to the playoffs. As for the title run-up.
- Eliminator: In a clash of the 2nd and 3rd-place teams to take place on February 3rd. The winner will go on to the Final.
- WPL Final 2026: At the peak of the season, which is February 5, we will see the winner of the Eliminator take on the team at the top of the league table, which also gives the victor the great advantage of direct entry into the final.
Grasping the Points System and Playoffs’ structure.
In 2026, for WPL, the points system is simple, which sees teams gain points for total wins and also uses Net Run Rate as the main tie breaker.
- Win: Teams are given 2 points for each win.
- Loss: Teams get no points for a loss.
- Tie/No Result: In very rare instances of a tied or rainout game, teams share the points.

In each competition, every team aims to be in the top three at the end. The number one spot is very much desired, which in turn gives the team a bye to the final and also a better chance at resting the team for the grand finale. The team that comes in 2nd and 3rd have to play in the Eliminator round, which adds to the tension and drama as they make their way to the title game. This format gives us a great conclusion to the season, which has fans on the edge of their seats until the final day of the season on February 5.
