Instead, people who are devoted to this practice actually worship a special Shree Yantra, which they also call the Vishva Yantra. This essentially acts as a symbol for the powerful feminine energy they believeinn. The temple is a really cool mix of old and new design. It feels grand, but also super peaceful, morning to night, the place just hums with spiritual energy from all the daily rituals, mantras, and aartis. Temples usually open pretty early in the morning.

Ambaji Mandir typically opens its doors around 7:00 AM, and it stays open until about 11:30 AM before closing for ashort while. The temple opens up again in the afternoon, sometime around 2:30, and it stays open for folks to visit until 7:30 at night. When there are festivals or special events, the temple often opens its doors sooner and stays open later. That’s so everyone who wants to visit can get in. Hey, just a heads-up: folks should really check those local announcements for the latest times, particularly when things get busy during peak season.

You don’t need a ticket to visit Ambaji Mandir for general darshan, so everyone can go, no matter how much money they hav e. You can also choose to pay for extra things like special darshan, abhishek, and puja ceremonies; they don’t cost much. You can give donations if you’d like; they go toward keeping the temple running and helping with our charity work. You can also find prasad counters right there inside the temple.

You know, if you’re thinking of going to Ambaji Mandir, the sweet spot is really from October through March. The weather then is just lovely, perfect for getting around and seeing the temple. Summers here can get really hot, and while the monsoons are beautiful to look at, they can make getting around a bit tough. The best time to go is during the Bhadarvi Poonam Mela, which happens sometime between August and September. Loads of people come to this big fair, many of them walking barefoot for miles just to get blessings from Goddess Amba.
