Fatima Sana Shaikh has carved out a real place for herself in Hindi cinema. She’s got range, she’s got presence, and when she steps into a role, people notice—right from her early days, critics and audiences were paying attention. She isn’t just some flash in the pan. Fatima keeps coming back, keeps surprising people, and has earned plenty of love for it.

She was born on January 11, 1992, in Hyderabad but grew up in Mumbai. That’s where most of her childhood played out and where she finished her studies. Acting runs in the family; her dad, Vipin Sharma, is an actor too, and her mom, Raj Tabassum, has always held down the fort at home. So with all that creative energy around, it makes sense that Fatima got drawn to acting early.

She didn’t wait long to jump in, either. She was a kid when she showed up in “Chachi 420.” But after that, she stepped away for a bit to focus on school, only to return as an adult. Her real breakout came with “Dangal,” where she played wrestler Geeta Phogat. That film went huge, and her name was suddenly everywhere.

Fatima could have easily played it safe after that, but she didn’t. She hopped from one kind of character to another, picking up films like “Thugs of Hindostan,” “Ludo,” and “Sam Bahadur.” Critics keep talking about how authentic and layered her performances are. She likes a challenge—whether she’s taking on demanding movie roles or trying out fresh material on web platforms, she keeps pushing herself.
