Ayush Sanjeev has become a very talented figure in the Indian entertainment industry, which sees him transition from a dedicated dancer to a well-known actor in Marathi and Hindi TV. He is known for his disciplined approach and down-to-earth personality, which adds to his appeal. What we see in his rise from a middle-class background in Maharashtra to national success is a story of perseverance and artistic growth.
Early Life and Background
Born in ‘96 in Badlapur, which is a town near Mumbai, Ayush Sanjeev Salunke spent his formative years in a very disciplined and hard-working environment. Although Badlapur is at the edge of the frenetic Mumbai film industry, Ayush’s dreams were centred within the performing arts. From a very young age, he was into music and movement, which in turn led him to dance, which became his primary form of expression.
During Ayush’s formative years, overseas life had a place in it for a while. This global experience also brought different cultures into his sphere, which, in turn, he later had to get back into when he returned to the fine points of our Indian languages and emotional storytelling. But he looked at these as growth issues, which in fact gave his performances a more rounded quality.

Education and the Foundation of Dance
Ayush did his higher studies at the University of Mumbai, which also saw him very active in cultural affairs and inter-college events. There, he got his first stage, which helped him perfect his performance under stress.
Before his entry into acting, Ayush was a part of the dance circuit. He was an assistant choreographer who also saw him perform on stage with the biggest names in Bollywood, like Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Out of that which he was a part and the large-scale productions he was a part of, he got a professional grasp of timing, body language and stagecraft skills which would go on to be the base of his acting career.
Television Career and Breakthrough
Ayush’s stage began in 2017 with a video project named Let’s Change Effect. But it was in the Marathi television industry that he broke through.
Marathi Success: In 2022, what he was very much recognised for was his performance in the show Boss Mazi Ladachi. Soon after, he took up the career-defining lead role of Vedant in Zee Marathi’s 36 Guni Jodi (2023). In the role of Vedant, which is that of a very strict and perfecting person, AYUSH put forward his range as an actor, which is a far cry from his calm and meditative real-life self.
Hindi Television Debut: In 2025, Ayush, who was at the time of his great transition into Hindi TV, made a mark with Star Plus’ hit show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. Also, in the role of a negative character, which was a reverse to what we may have expected from him, he did very well to put forward a very controlled yet powerful performance, which in turn won him over the pan-India audience.
Film Projects and Music Videos

As of 2026, Ayush has diversified into cinema and digital media. He is to star in the Marathi film Jabraat, which is to present his growth into serious character roles. Also, he is into his dance heritage, which saw him feature in the music video Pirmacha Naad Khula for the Zee Music Marathi label.
Personal Life and Physical Attributes
Standing at 5’7”, Ayush upholds a health-conscious routine which includes a well-balanced diet and also a regular practice of meditation. Also in 2026, it was noted that he is very private about his personal life. While the public is very much interested in his “girlfriend” or relationship status, Ayush has time and again chosen to keep his love life out of the public eye; instead, he is putting more focus on his career growth and mental well-being.
