Yogita Chavan has made a mark as a very prominent and versatile talent in the Marathi entertainment industry. Known for her outstanding acting, which is very expressive, her grace in her dance moves, and a very striking screen presence, which she brings to her characters, she has gone from pageant runner-up to a household name in Maharashtra. Early Life and Background
Born in Thane, Maharashtra, on March 9, 1994, Yogita Dattatray Chavan was brought up in a very supportive family setting. She is the daughter of Dattatray Chavan and Vidya Devi Chavan. Yogita did her schooling from S.B.M. Padwal Vidyalaya English Medium School and went on to attend S.K. Somaiya Degree College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, where she obtained her Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree.
Although born into a commercial family, from a young age, she was destined for a career in the performing arts. In 2016, that passion broke into the open when the stage, which is the “Maharashtra Times Shravan Queen”, gave her the first of what would be many great successes, which saw her take home the 1st Runner-up spot. That achievement was the springboard that launched her into modelling and the film industry.

Career in Television and Bigg Boss
Yogita’s career in television started with characters that showcased her acting range. In 2018, she was in Zee Marathi’s Jaadubaai Jorat, and in 2019 and 2020, she was in Sony Marathi’s Navri Mile Navryala, which had her play the role of Sarita. But it was in 2021 with the Colours Marathi show Jeev Majha Guntala that she got her breakthrough. She played the part of Antara Shitole, a strong and very relatable character, which made her an immediate hit and earned her the audience’s love.
In 2024, Yogita took a big step when she entered Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5 as a contestant. Her performance in the reality show allowed fans to see the real Yogita, which in turn grew her fan base.
