Dev Joshi was born in Ahmedabad (Gujarat) on November 28, 2000. He comes from a middle-class family where they provided a supportive environment that helped him flourish creatively and ambitiously from an early age. He started showing interest in performing arts at a very young age, usually taking part in school plays, cultural programs, and local theatre.
His father, Dushyant Joshi, and his mother, Devangna Joshi, helped Dev follow his dreams and develop his skills through endless support. He graduated from school in Ahmedabad and continued his education with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media at Amity University. Even though he was still studying, he was also very active in acting and performing throughout his education.

Dev started his career as a child artist, with his first major roles being in the TV shows “Kashi-Ab Na Rahe Tera Kagaz Kora” and “Mahima Shani Dev Ki”. However, it was not until 2012 that he made his big break, when he was picked up to play the role of Baalveer in the immensely popular TV serial, Baalveer. This series became immensely successful and continued for several years. It also gave Dev immense recognition and won him numerous accolades, such as the Indian Telly Awards for Best Child Actor. He went on to feature in the same role in its sequel, including Baalveer Returns.
Aside from the above, Dev has also played the part of the young freedom fighter named Chandra Shekhar Azad, who features in the historic drama, Chandrasekhar.
Work Outside Television

Besides playing roles in several TV series, Dev has also acted in more than 20 Gujarati films and thus widened his horizons to include cinema as well. Furthermore, considering how much he appears in various commercials and music videos, he has been able to create an even wider audience beyond television.

As far as his personal life is concerned, Dev Joshi has tied the knot with Aarti Kharel, and their marriage took place in Nepal in 2025. As per sources, Dev Joshi met Aarti on a visit, and their relationship has blossomed into something beautiful over time.
Besides his career in acting, Dev Joshi has an immense passion for aviation and has plans to join the academy to become a pilot. Additionally, he had planned to take part in the dearMoon mission, which got delayed due to certain technical reasons.
