Indian actress Kajol has a successful career in Hindi and Tamil films. She made her debut in 1992 with Bekhudi and went on to star in commercially successful thrillers like Baazigar and Udhaar Ki Zindagi. Kajol also starred in Yeh Dillagi and appeared in five films in 1995. She briefly appeared in Karan Arjun and played Simran in Aditya Chopra’s romance, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which ranked among the highest-grossing Bollywood films of the year. As of 2021, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is the longest-running Indian film. Kajol has also appeared in box-office flops Hulchul and Gundaraj. Her only screen appearance in 1996 was in Bambai Ka Babu, a financial failure.
