Natasha Poonawalla is a prominent Indian philanthropist, businesswoman, and fashion aficionado who has made substantial contributions to a variety of fields. In the field of healthcare and vaccine production, she is a key figure as the chairperson of the Villoo Poonawalla Foundation and the executive director of the Serum Institute of India.

She has also been instrumental in a number of industries as the director of Villoo Poonawalla Racing and Breeding Pvt Ltd and the Poonawalla Science Park. Natasha is renowned for her exquisite taste, charity endeavors, and commercial savvy.

On November 26, 1981, Pramesh Aurora and his wife Minnie Aurora welcomed a daughter named Natasha into the world. Her sibling is Amit. Pune is where she grew up. She completed her elementary schooling at Pune’s St. Mary’s School. She graduated from Savitribai Phule Pune University with a bachelor’s degree. In 2004, she received her master’s degree in organizational behavior from the London School of Economics.

In order to improve lives, her family’s charity, the Villoo Poonawalla Foundation, was founded in 2012 with a focus on improving environmental sanitation, safe water, healthcare, and education. This Foundation is led by Natasha, whose late mother-in-law is honored in the title. The Foundation provides funding for numerous social projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the underprivileged in our country.

Among these projects are the construction of its own schools to provide education, which is greatly needed, as well as the financing of safe water for consumption and a successful sanitation program in Pune.

Prior to its founding, in 2006, Natasha wed the affluent Adar Poonawalla. They first connected at a Goa new year’s party organized by Vijay Mallya. Their two sons are named Cyrus and Darius. Natasha lives in Mumbai with her family.
