“Ved” is the remake of the 2019 Telugu-language love story “Majili.” Riteish Deshmukh’s maiden Marathi film “Ved” has been fantastic at the box office, collecting ₹75 crores worldwide. With this marquee, it stands at the position of being the second biggest grosser Marathi film after the film “Sairat” in 2016.
“Ved” grabbed attention upon its 30th December 2022 release at the theatres. The movie minted ₹2.5 crores net and ₹3.5 crores gross on its opening day alone. The strong opening was followed by a steady first weekend that garnered ₹10 crores, which is the fourth-highest weekend ever for a Marathi film.

The run continued into the first week, with it clocking at ₹20.67 crores. The second week saw the collection rising, pivoting at ₹40.85 crores. The total box office collection crossed ₹50 crores after 20 days. It ran up to ₹57 crores in the fourth week and in the fifth week, it had a net collection of ₹58.11 crores, grossing to ₹70.90 crores.

By the fiftieth day since its release, “Ved” had domestically grossed ₹ 60.67 crores and ₹ 74 crores worldwide. On March 14, 2023, it collected a total of ₹ 75 crores worldwide; that cemented this movie’s place as one of the bigger successes of Marathi cinema.
