Ajay Devgn has now made the excited future slate of projects for his fans include Raid 2 and another sequel, De De Pyaar De 2. He officially confirmed on Tuesday that Raid 2 has a release date of May 1, 2025. Meanwhile, the romantic comedy drama De De Pyaar De 2 will be out in theaters September 2025, for which a new release date is still being decided.
Earlier this year in May, the makers of De De Pyaar De 2 announced the film featuring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R. Madhavan as being one of the features to be released on May 1, 2025, but with the postponing to September, that plan is now muted in favor of placing Raid 2 in that spot. For now, fans will have to wait a little longer for this particular character but shouldn’t lose sight of the immense anticipation built around the sequel.
So on Tuesday, Ajay Devgn and the Raid team, alongside producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, took to Instagram to unveil a brand new poster for the film and announce the rescheduled date. From the original slot of February 25, 2025, the crime thriller film has now been pushed back to May 1, 2025.

Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the sequel will expand the story from the first film into the efforts of the Income Tax Department with Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, and Rajat Kapoor among the ensemble cast of Raid 2.
Ajay Devgn, reprising his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, teased fans with an Instagram caption stating, “IRS Amay Patnaik’s next mission begins from May 2025! Raid 2 is all set to release on 1st May 2025!”
On the other hand, Luv Ranjan Films, the team behind De De Pyaar De 2, had earlier shared an announcement post with the caption: “De De Pyaar De 2 will release on 1st May 2025. The film is directed by @anshul3112, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan & @gargankur82, and written by @tarun.j.85 & Luv Ranjan.”

Like its predecessor, De De Pyaar De 2 will pick up where the first film left off, exploring the humorous family dynamics involving Rakul Preet Singh’s character and the evolving relationship between Ashish (played by Ajay Devgn) and Ayesha (played by Rakul Preet Singh). Fans can look forward to another dose of laughter and drama when the sequel releases in September 2025.
