The Sabarmati Report is a political drama that was released on November 15 and stars Vikrant Massey as Samar Kumar, Raashii Khanna as Amrita Gill, Riddhi Dogra as Manika Rajpurohit. The contents of this film encompass journalism, political maneuvering, historical ramifications, and media accountability. The film is directed by Dheeraj Sarna and is based on the case of the tragic burning of the Sabarmati Express that involved 2002 Godhra.

The story follows a journalist who digs up an investigation into the Gujarat affair. Years later, another journalist finds a cover-up report that relates to the tragedy. This report soon exposes some larger conspiracy plans set in motion by some powerful persons. The film highlights the essential role of journalists and the challenges they face in their pursuit of truth and justice.

According to Live Mint, the movie is set to debut on ZEE5 on January 10, 2025, after receiving mixed reviews during its theatrical run.

The screenplay is a collaborative effort by Arjun Bhandegaonkar, Dheeraj Sarna, Vipin Agnihotri, and Avinash Singh Tomar. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Anshul Mohan, and Amul V Mohan, the film is backed by Balaji Motion Pictures, Vipin Agnihotri Films, and Vikir Films Production. Amalendu Chaudhary handles the cinematography.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who watched the film, offered special praise for its storytelling and impact. The Sabarmati Report continues to generate conversations around its thought-provoking narrative.
