Shreyas Iyer, an India right-handed batsman, commenced his international cricket career in 2021 versus New Zealand. IPL Career

Shreyas Iyer is the most sought-after uncapped player in the IPL and earned the position of the best-paid uncapped player at the 2015 auction, for which he managed to bag 2.6 Crores starting with an auction price of 10 Lakhs. Iyer was taken into Delhi by the assistant coach for the Delhi Daredevils back then, Pravin Amre. Iyer proved to be the best discovery of his former childhood coach. With the score of 439 runs, he emerged victorious in the award for the best emerging player in the tournament and, with aggressive approach, requested the selectors for an India call-up, drawing attention to him. He recovered to form in the year 2017 by making 336 runs with a high score of 96. But in the season 2018, Iyer performed remarkably well.
