Her mother is Daggubati Rajeswari. After marrying the famous Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, the leading man in all South Indian cinema in 1984, their only son, Naga Chaitanya, was born in 1990. They divorced in 1990. After the divorce, she married Sharath Vijayaraghavan.
