Scoring a century in One Day Internationals (ODIs) is a mark of great batting which also which also reflects a player’s skill and endurance as well as their ability to lead the team out. By 2025, the list of top ODI centurions will have in it legends from many cricketing nations, but India will still be at the top.

- Rohit Sharma, India’s.
Rohit Sharma, whom we call the ‘Hitman’, has, since the time of his appointment as a permanent opening batsman has been a run-scoring machine. With many double hundreds to his name and a natural elegance in the way he bats, he is also a man who turned good starts into great scores, which sets him among the greatest ODI batsmen.
- Ricky Ponting, Aussie.
A former Australian captain and 2 time World Cup winner, Ricky Ponting was known for his dominant batting and strong leadership. He scored his ODI centuries in pressurised situations, which made him a very fierce competitor of his time.
- Santh Jayasuriya Sri Lanka.
An aggressive start-up man, Sanath Jayasuriya transformed ODI cricket with his fearless hitting in the first 15 overs. He was the man at the centre of Sri Lanka’s golden era and still is a legend for his explosive performances and multiple centuries.
- Hashim Amla of South Africa.
Amla added class and timing to the South African batting order. Though very composed in his approach, he put together centuries with great speed, and what is more, he was very consistent, which, through it all, earned him a place among top ODI performers.
- AB de Villiers from South Africa.
AB de Villiers, who is known for his innovative shots and versatility, redefined aggressive yet intelligent batting. In whichever way it came from a slow build-up or a burst of power play, his centuries were usually match-winning and left you on the edge of your seat.

- Chris Gayle WI.
Chris Gayle is a combination of power and panache, which he displayed in breaking down bowling attacks at will. He would put on a century, which was also a spectacle of boundaries and sixes, which would light up the stadiums and make him a global fan favourite.
- Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka.
One of the most technical left-handers, Sangakkara came through in pressure situations with poise and class. He put together his centuries with great precision, which made him the most reliable batter for Sri Lanka.
- David Warner, Australia.
Warner’s power out of the block and bold approach has got him in the top century makers’ club. He is a mainstay at the opening of the Australian team, and what he brings in terms of large scores is very important to this group.
