It is a usual thing to forget your mobile number, which may happen when you have just bought a new BSNL SIM or do not use it that often. Luckily, BSNL has put in place a few very easy options to get your number back fast. You can use offline codes, mobile apps, phone settings or call our customer care. This guide goes through each of these options in a very easy-to-use manner.

Method 1: Dial into USSD services (Offline and Instant).

BSNL provides a set of USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) codes that immediately display your mobile number. These codes work off an internet connection and are very simple to use.

To use this method:

Open your phone’s dialer and Dial in the following codes, which will then prompt you to press the call button:

• 222#
• 1#
• 888#
• 555#
• 8881#

Once you dial a working code, your BSNL mobile number will display on the screen or will be sent to you via a flash message. It is best to try the first code 222#, which is the most common.

Method 2: Check out the BSNL Selfcare App.

If, instead of the web, you use apps, we have BSNL Selfcare and My BSNL at your service, which you can use for checking your account info and your number.

Steps:

• Download and go to the BSNL Selfcare app in the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
• Open up the app and use your BSNL mobile number for login. We will send you an OTP for verification.
• Once logged in, you will see your mobile number out there along with account balance, plan details and validity info.

This service also includes management of services, recharging, and tracking of usage.

Method 3: Go to Phone Settings

In your phone’s settings, you can also see what mobile number is in use. Also, if the number you’re using has already been recognised by the platform, this option is useful.

Android Users

Go to Settings on the phone, then scroll down to see the “Phone Number” section.

iPhone Users

Go to Settings Phone and see the “My Number” field.

At times, you may see “Unknown” when the number has not been detected yet.

Method 4: Reach out to BSNL Customer Care

BSNL customer care can also assist you with your mobile number.

Steps:

• Call 1503 or 0800-180-1503 from your BSNL line.
• Answer the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) prompts.
• Select the right service category and ask for your mobile number.

You can get your mobile number directly from the IVR prompts or during a support call with a help desk representative.

Method 5: Call or email a friend

Absolutely, you can identify your BSNL number by calling or texting a friend that will show up on their device. And then ask them to send it to you.
