Early Life & Background
Tilak Mehta came into the world in 2006 in Aurangabad (there are some reports that state that he is originally from Gujarat). His parents are Vishal Mehta, his father, and Kajal Mehta, his mother. In addition, he has a younger sister called Tanvi Mehta. From the start, he was very inquisitive and had a problem-solving mindset.

Education
Tilak was a student at Gurukul Olympiad School in Maharashtra. When he came up with his business idea, he was reportedly in the 8th grade. According to the information available in 2025, he has studied up to the 12th standard.
How The Idea Arose
Indubitably, the trouble with Tilak’s initiative was his personal experience with problems that can be so simple yet annoying: after coming back from his uncle’s house, where he had gone for a vacation, he left his math book, which was very important for an exam at his uncle’s house. Not finding any services to courier the book to him quickly and affordably, he was left frustrated with the whole experience. This irritation is what led him to the thought — why not start a service that would be a reliable, affordable, same-day courier/delivery?
Career & The Birth of Paper n Parcels
Tilak, who was then a class 8 student and approximately 13 years old, co-founded Paper n Parcels (PNP), a hyperlocal same-day courier and logistics service, in 2018. He brought Mumbai’s famous delivery network of “dabbawalas” into the picture, mixing their grassroots-level reach with present-day logistics concepts. The startup got its initial momentum with the help of his father and the collaboration of his maternal uncle. PNP, in due course, reportedly expanded its network to over 300 dabbawalas and 200 internal staff. Lately, the company is said to be managing 1,000 to 1,200 deliveries per day.
Success, Recognition & Net Worth
During the time that Tilak was in charge, Paper n Parcels was able to generate a reported annual turnover of approximately ₹100 crore for the financial year 2020-21. The rapid success that he had was the reason for many stories about him in the news; media outlets have written about him and recognized him as one of the youngest entrepreneurs in India who has been successful. Some sources say that in 2021, he had a personal net worth of around ₹65 crore with a monthly income of around ₹2 crore. On the other hand, the more conservative 2025 estimates, which are based on the company valuation, brand endorsements, and public appearances, hint at a net worth between ₹20-25 crore.
Persona & Vision
Tilak Mehta is a living example of the saying “age is just a number.” In spite of the fact that he was studying, he managed to start and run a business at the same time. His story has motivated many young Indians who now no longer consider age a barrier when it comes to entrepreneurship. As per interviews, he sees the PNP brand growing not only in Mumbai but also in metropolises such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata.
Conclusion
Tilak Mehta’s story is a triumphant example of youthful innovation, grit, and ambition, from a mere classroom situation to the creation of a logistics company with a turnover worth crores. His story points out that combining the solving of everyday problems with determination and smart execution can lead to striking success, age notwithstanding.
