Bhavik Koladiya is an Indian entrepreneur, best known as a co-founder and former chief technology officer of BharatPe. He was born in Delhi and, according to the reports, he went to IIT Delhi, though no details of his graduation are available. Informally, he is known to refer to himself as “Bob Patel.” In addition, Koladiya has been described as an angel investor and a serial entrepreneur who is energetic and enthusiastic in ventures such as OTPless and Finix Partners.

Role in BharatPe & Career Trajectory
He established a significant role in creating BharatPe with co-founder Shashvat Nakrani around March 2018. He was handling product and technology operations at BharatPe and was considered the tech backbone who was responsible for building the platform’s UPI and merchant systems.
After his consultancy contract ended on July 31, 2022, he left BharatPe in August 2022. After leaving the company, his activities mainly focused on entrepreneurship and startup advisory roles, in particular, the OTPless and other ventures.
Controversies & Legal Disputes
In 2023, the ex-across-the-hall Ashneer Grover alleged that Bhavik Koladiya was stealing data and misusing confidential UPI data. Koladiya rejected this claim and called it fabricated.
Bhavik was also involved with Ashneer in a major feud over shares. Koladiya initiated legal proceedings with the Delhi High Court to recover his shares. The feud was cleared up in 2024, after which he got about 15,000 shares worth approximately ₹550 crore based on the company’s valuation.
The reports of the past talk about a credit card or identity fraud related to an incident in the US, which eventually led to investor disquiet.
