Early Life and Career
Nisar Tamboli hails from Maharashtra and has done very well for himself in the Indian Police Service. He got into IPS after qualifying from the UPSC exam. A few significant assignments that made him good at dealing with law and order, crime management, and public safety have given him an early experience in police life.

Career
In his previous assignments, Nisar Tamboli has held a number of critical positions where he has shown a great deal of leadership and has demonstrated the management of complex situations in law enforcement. Prior to being appointed the Joint Commissioner of Police for Nagpur, Nisar served as Assistant Commissioner in the SID, Mumbai where he gained indispensable experience that could be applied directly to his new role.
