Parul Chaudhary was born on 15 April 1995 in Iklauta village, Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh. She hails from a humble farming background with strong work ethic and resilience. Her father, Kishanlal Chaudhary, is a farmer, and her mother, Rajesh Devi, is a homemaker. Parul has three siblings. Her sister Preeti is a professional runner and is employed by the CISF, and brother Rohit works in the Uttar Pradesh Police.

Athletic Career and Successes
Athlete Parul started her athletic career in 2011 running barefoot in local school competitions. She started taking part in 800-meter races but later moved on to long-distance events. Her ability was soon spotted, and she was recruited by Indian Railways in 2015. She established a reputation as one of India’s best distance runners over the years. She triumphed in a gold medal in the 5000 meters and a silver in the 3000-meter steeplechase in the 2023 Asian Games organized in Hangzhou. She also won gold in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the 2023 Asian Athletics Championships in Bangkok. Parul shattered the national record in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:13.39 in the Doha Diamond League in May 2025, earning her a spot at the World Championships in Tokyo.
