Introduction
In the 1960s to 1980s, Amarjeet was a prominent name in the Hindi film industry. He produced and directed films that are still very much remembered, which greatly played into what was at the time the main focus of Bollywood. What he put out was a mix of great storytelling, music, and star-powered stories, which characterized the golden and post-golden age of Hindi film.
Early Life and Background

Amarjeet’s public records are, for the most part, very thin in terms of what is known of his early life, which is also the case with many of the secondary figures in film from that time. But his entry into the film industry was the start of a very long career. He developed into a man who had great knowledge of film production and direction, which in turn made him a respected figure in Bollywood.
Career as a Producer
Amarjeet did the major work as a producer. He was a part of a film that also did very well at the box office and left a deep impact on the audience.
One of his most noted works was Teen Devian (1965), in which Dev Anand stars. The film, which also had a very different storyline and an excellent musical score, stood out above the rest at the time.
He, after that, did produce Duniya (1968), which in turn secured for him his status as a dependable producer. The film also looked at emotional and social issues, which the audience responded to very well.
In another great success, we had Prem Shastra (1974). This film, which saw Amarjeet put forward a mix of romance and drama into the equation, also showed the author’s skill in terms of which way the film industry was headed.
Later on, he did out with Rocky (1981) this became an integral part of his work because it saw actor Sanjay Dutt take to the screen for the first time. That film’s musical score, as well as its emotional appeal, caught attention and is today very much remembered in terms of its impact on the history of the Bombay film industry.
Work as a Director

Amarjeet, in addition, also became a director. His foray into direction includes Teen Devian, which he also produced. The film, which sees a man in his relationships with three women, put forth an innovative narrative for the time.
