With the rise of Pan-Indian releases from Tollywood, there’s been ongoing debate about who truly holds the title of Pan-Indian star. Prabhas, with the advance bookings of Adipurush, is making a strong case for himself as the biggest star in Tollywood. The film is projected to gross over 130 crores on its opening day, placing it among the top four all-time openings. Prabhas is achieving these remarkable numbers purely on the strength of his star power.

Tickets are flying off the shelves, and if the film garners positive word of mouth, its box office performance could soar even higher. Adipurush could prove to be a pivotal film for Prabhas, solidifying his status as a Pan-Indian or even a global star.

The film’s production team includes Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, with People Media Factory handling the Telugu release. Initially, Adipurush faced significant backlash due to subpar VFX in the teaser, which dampened the hype around the movie. However, through strategic promotions, the team has successfully reignited interest, with songs like “Jai Shri Ram” and “Ram Siya Ram” playing a key role in reversing the early negative reception.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush features Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, Sunny Singh as Lakshman, and Deva Dutta Nage as Lord Hanuman. The music is composed by Ajay-Atul. The film is set for a grand worldwide release on June 16, 2023.
